Client: Large technology company seeking to define the future of their employee experience post-pandemic
Role & Contributions: Design researcher, design strategy, and visual design
Duration: 12 weeks
Objectives: To envision a flexible ecosystem for the future of digital employee experience in a post-pandemic, evolving world for a leading tech company and define the new gold standard for tech companies and beyond
Outside-in analysis including employee surveys, digital usage data, and industry trend reports
Facilitate cross-functional design research and co-creation through in-depth employee interviews and ideation sessions
Illustrate high-fidelity future state ideas to meet evolving expectations of the future of work
PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS
Developed personas and journeys informed by 60+ interviews and mobile diaries to inspire empathy and surface behavioral patterns. Artifacts also reflected quantitative insights from current state digital tool usage e.g., Slack, Zoom, email as well as, employee sentiment surveys related to Women in the Workplace, Wellbeing, Connection, and Belonging to inform concept development
Coached team leaders from the organization to facilitate concept validation sessions that we introduced as “office hours” to drive engagement and ownership of potential initiatives
Created a vision for the future digital employee experience rooted in key design principles across three pillars of work, self, and community. Communicated and co-created the vision through frequent feedback sessions sharing an evolution of low-fidelity to high-fidelity mock-ups.
RESULTS
Delivered 7 concepts part of a future-state integrated digital platform that would impact 5,000 employees worldwide. Cross-compared future state ideas with industry initiatives to gage unique signature ideas and those meeting evolving expectations of the future
